Activity with your Kids!
Kitchen
activities invite opportunities for children's curiosity with
culinary activities.
Toddlers become curious when they turn four or five years old and will start to ask to help doing household chores (i.e. cooking and washing) with you.
Toddlers become curious when they turn four or five years old and will start to ask to help doing household chores (i.e. cooking and washing) with you.
Naturally,
you have to let them try safe activities, the ones that do not
involve fire and sharp objects for these are hazardous to the little
ones. They still don't know how to handle them properly (but you can give blunt knives if they really want to slice and chop, especially to those who are more culinary inclined).
Just make
sure to supervise them whenever you invite them in the kitchen. You
can do all the major work while telling them cooking tricks and
answering their questions. This also brings you and your child
together.
Wiping
tables, handing items to adult to put away, add ingredients, talk
about cooking, squeeze citrus fruits, peel eggs and some fruits, set
the table, measure liquids, and use an egg beater are few of the
activities you can give your kid at an appropriate age.
Aside
from letting them help around the kitchen, you can get your little
ones to try new foods. Children feel good whenever they do grown-up
stuffs. Give them something small to do and praise their efforts.
Children are also less likely to reject the foods they prepared
themselves.

As the new generation grow up in the kitchen, they get the idea, by
themselves, as to what counter-tops are best, based on the
experience they will gather, what lighting fixtures are appropriate in the
kitchen not only depending on their taste, and what are the best utensils to use for kitchen pastime.
